I love youuuu. I really hate to see you hurting, and we all love you dude. But i dont want you to think you’re being a burden or feel bad in any way okay? This just means we love you, and thats what love is, to feel burden for people when they are down, and using that burden to push us to spur you on. So please dont beat yourself up for this, or want to hurt yourself in any way or any form. We’re gonna win this fight. Just take R and my hand, we’ll help you up :)

P.S. if you get hurt, who’s gonna battle tendonitis with me, and make becky eat her meals correctly, and wake me and ronke up in the morning. and yell at me when i drive or do dishes, or take care of becky when she cuts her finger again, or eat pho with gloria when she has huge pho cravings? or who’s tina gonna go to when shes sad, or baked too much and need to give it away? if i dont have you, im pretty sure im gonna need to amputate hands. i need you buddy. we need you! the strong you :)

in every friendship

what is the bond that keeps you together? how strong is that bond, and is it gonna last?

• Location; going to the same high school~ bam, move away, or go to college and that friendship dissipates 
• Hobby; tennis, basketball, boys, girls, ~ bam, quit tennis, bye bye friendship
• Race/ Culture; being korean and eating korean food HAHA~ superficial, nothing deeper than surface level
• family; blood~ this one is a pretty strong bond that lasts a lifetime 
• Work, clubs, same classes, thrill for adventure, partying, drinking, etc etc;
• Deeper bonds of raising children, living for your children~ as they leave for college ->higher chances of divorce
• deeper bonds of friendships that seem to be like family; and you have group of friends that were stronger in the past that you come back to and everyone’s always thinking what happened; deeper bonds of bettering the world and humanity 
• and then theres the strongest bond of them all: Christ. you know, i look at my fellow sisters in christ, we’re all so different and i know i would have never been friends with them in college or high school if it wasn’t for God. our bond supercedes all of the superficial stuff. we are committed to each other; we can speak the truth to each other; truth that hurts, and truth that builds. we can borrow each other’s cars and have the keys to each other’s houses because our bond surpasses material things. we dont have to wear masks cuz we already know our common identities as sinners haha. this bond extends to everyone, not just the girls in my fellowship, but to humanity. bonds to christians and non christians. i’ve had so many random conversation with strangers who were passionate for Christ, and oh man, there were no barriers for us to speak real talk

i guess im thinking about this now because there are many friendships that i want to hold on to, and im thinking about just the strength of bonds, and on what do i want to have my friendship centered on. definitely not something weak. i’m thinking about how much more difficult it is to hold onto the friendships that are thinly bonded, or maybe a strong bond that was there in the past but things have changed. then you run the danger of trying to hold onto too many and spreading yourself thin. theres alot of moments where i want to and do reconnect with an old friend, like my old apartment mate or high school friend or something, but its sad when you know that its very difficult to even rekindle that friendship because you no longer share that common link that bonded you guys before. then you have friendships where you have reunions a couple of times a year but dont know what the heck is going on in each other’s lives ;_; SIGHHHHH 

yepyep, build on a stronger foundation, and friendships won’t be blown away by winds or tornados
